Editable linear scale Part of FusionWidgets XT
A horizontal linear gauge displays a single numeric data point in relation to a scale. The gauge is rendered with a horizontal block, divided into segments based on the data range. The gauge scale, a horizontal linear scale to plot the data range values using tick marks, is placed above/below this block. A data pointer, in the shape of an inverted triangle, is used to point to the current data value. To edit the linear scale, the mouse pointer can be used by dragging the data pointer to the left or right side on the scale. This gauge can be simulated as a factory/instrument gauge, range meter, slider, tank or vessel fill indicator, pipe, Volt/Amp/Ohm meter, and so on.
Best Practices for Editable Linear Scale Design :
- The ranges on the linear gauge scale should be rendered in colors that let the user easily interpret what the range indicates.
