A box and whisker chart is a statistical chart that is used to examine and summarize a range of data values for multiple categories of data. The chart draws a statistical conclusion for the given data using the five number summary principle. This chart is very useful to observe the mean, median, upper and lower quartiles, and deviations for a huge set of data.The boxes are drawn as vertical bars divided into the upper box and lower box; the size of each box is determined by the data values. Whiskers are drawn as lines extending from the boxes.
