Real Time Dual Axis - Line chart Part of FusionWidgets XT
A real-time line chart with a dual y-axis is used to show the magnitude of trend for multiple data sets, each having different types of data, like whole numbers and percentage or whole numbers with varied ranges. The data on the chart is updated in real-timeautomatically, at fixed intervals by getting new data from the server, without any page refreshes. Data values are plotted on the chart as data points that are then connected using line segments. The primary y-axis is rendered to the right of the chart and the secondary y-axis is rendered to the left. An icon legend is rendered at the bottom of the chart to map data plots to their corresponding data categories; the icons can be clicked to show/hide data plots. This chart can be used to study data like a company's price and stock index at regular intervals in real-time.
Best Practices :
- Ensure that the data in one frame is enough so that it doesn't affect readability.
- Ensure that the interval between subsequent refreshes is chosen appropriately, based on what data the chart is showcasing.
